Back in 1949, Dial issued one of the very first LP, a ten-incher, that had alternates of sides recorded by Charlie Parker for the label. That was 'The Bird Blows the Blues', Dial LP nr. 1!

Back in 1949, Dial issued one of the very first LP, a ten-incher, that had alternates of sides recorded by Charlie Parker for the label. That was 'The Bird Blows the Blues', Dial LP nr. 1!

In the Cd era, one of the first was the Bluebird reissue of Gil Evans' "There Comes a Time". I remember that was one of the reasons I bought a Cd player way back then! :blink:
