Roswell Rudd with mongolian ensemble

Long time no post (or read).

I discovered a small cache of Roswell Rudd on Youtube.

Here is a video of him in concert with a Mongolian ensemble.

I saw them live at UCLA (opening for, uh, The Bad Plus?), and I have the album that Rudd did with them. I like it; I also tend to have a thing for jazz - Asian music fusions (is it fusion? Maybe syncretism?)

Those Mongolian are great - saw several of them live, and some have a real good groove, like good western folk.

Thank you so very much for this link. I've only seen him twice. Once around 1970 in the basement of the old St. Peters church in NYC. Gato Barbieri was in the band but I can't recall the others. I also caught him a few years ago at Caramoor playing with Steve Lacey. That was absolutely magnificent.
