Tom 1960 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 (edited) I have a friend who just purchased about $100 worth of cds at Newbury Comics for me, then I come across this thread. The very scarey thing is now I want to take advantage of this sale. Need help, seek help..... Edited April 3, 2007 by Tom 1960 Quote
Patrick Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Sale extends beyond Bluenote. I placed an order for 22 titles--mainly stuff you already have (eg replacing some first generation Miles titles like Sketches of Spain), or that you can get more cheaply via yourmusic. Couple of titles already out of stock including Roy Haynes Love Letters and Dexter Gordon Manhattan Symphonie. I chose several of the recent BN RVG batch, and a few older ones including Clifford Brown Jazz Immortal which I haven't seen around in a long while. And finally some Bluebirds: Duke Ellington And His Mother Called Him Bill, Art Blakey A Night in Tunisia, and Sonny Meets Hawk!. Used google checkout and still haven't gotten any sort of confirmation 3 days later. We shall see. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Since I made a large number of purchases very recently, I still wanted to take advantage of the sale and make use of the $10 off coupon. I placed the order in the past hour and already received an email confirmation. Total $26.62 includes shipping. Titles purchased: Horace Silver - Finger Poppin' Grant Green - I Want To Hold You Hand Blue Mitchell - The Thing To Do Clifford Jordan/John Gilmore - Blowing In From Chicago Quote
jazzbo Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Got my ten titles (nine RVGS and that Irene Krall) on Thursday night. Stickers all over the place, and a magnetic strip on each, but who cares? With the google check out it was a great deal, and I don't have to wait for yourmusic to get or not get the last two batches. Quote
mikelz777 Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 (edited) I wish I could still take advantage of the Google checkout deal. Before the holidays when they were first launching Google checkout, you could get $10.00 off a $30.00 purchase or $20.00 off a $50.00 purchase. The nice thing about that was you could use it as many times as you wanted-even with the same merchant. I ended up doing a lot of buying for the couple of months that it lasted.
