Sundog Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Saw about 40 minutes of this documentary last night. Lot's of great interviews with Ahmet, as well as a who's who of rock royalty. Well worth checking out IMO. Check your local listings... Quote
Brad Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 This was on in New York last week and I thought it was fabulous. He really had the golden touch for Atlantic. A fascinating individual. A lot of the program retells his life through interviews that various people did with him before he passed away. Quote
skeith Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 (edited) I saw this and enjoyed it but must say I was very disappointed there was no mention of Atlantic's jazz releases. I realize that jazz was more of Nesuhi's department, but still the title of the program was Atlantic Records: the house that Ahment built. TO say nothing of the Atlantic jazz releases was a bummer, especially since the program did cover what big jazz fans both Ahmet and Nesuhi were. Edited May 12, 2007 by skeith Quote
