alocispepraluger102 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 (edited) any recommendations of quality bottled water to take along on my long strenuous midday summer jaunts under the noonday sun? Edited May 24, 2007 by alocispepraluger102 Quote

J Larsen Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 No. It is hydrogen with a neutron attached to the proton. Quote
J Larsen Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Sorry, that wasn't a very clear reply. Deuterium is a hydrogen atom that has a neutron attached to its proton. Heavy water is two deuterium atoms attached to a hydrogen atom - D2O. Heavy water can kill you because it is a poor solvent compared to regular water. If you replace the solvents in your system with a non-solvent, you are in trouble. Quote
