AndrewHill Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) I remember there was thread on jazz tunes appearing in commercials a long time ago, but I couldn't find it (went through 20 pages worth!) but I remember hearing Dolphy's 'Hat and Beard' in a car commerical once, which was quite arresting. So anyway, I was watching TV today (what else is new) and a Ruby Tuesday's commerical comes on and I recognized the tune almost immediately-Its The Three Sounds' Live at the It Club-featuring Gene Harris and the tune is 'Funky Pullett'. Quite obscure choice of song for a burger commerical, and when I pointed it out to the wife, she's like oh, whatever. If you're not a fan of this music, then your average TV viewer would probably never catch it. Anyone else hear it? Edited June 7, 2007 by Holy Ghost Quote

Now I'll have to remember to un-mute the TV when that spot comes on. Quote
