Chuck Nessa Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 Territory Band - 6 with Fred Anderson "Collide" Axel Doerner - trumpet Per-Ake Holmlander - tuba Lasse Marhang - electronics Paul Lytton - percussion Paal Nilssen-Love - percussion Jim Baker - piano Fred Anderson - tenor Fredrik Ljungkvist - baritone & tenor Dave Rempis - alto & tenor Ken Vandermark - tenor & Bb clarinet Kent Kessler - bass Fred Lonberg-Holm - cello David Stackenäs - guitars The latest release by Ken Vandermark's Territory Band was recorded live, Aug. 24, 2006, as part of the "Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz" series (in Millenium Park) and gives the group a chance to perform a new extended Vandermark composition that's was designed as a back drop for the improvisational skills of Chicago tenor legend Fred Anderson. A unique environment for the talent of both Fred Anderson and the Territory Band members. Quote

Sat in the middle of the front row on a picture perfect night.....went to the jazz showcase after it ended to see Charles McPherson and then to the new Velvet lounge to catch Vandermark again....fun night! m~ Quote
