Teasing the Korean Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 The Nitty Gritty 1.0 worth its weight in gold! http://www.nittygrittyinc.com/1.0_2.0.htm Quote
six string Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I've wanted a RCM for some time, but I don't know if I have the space for it. Quote
Aggie87 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 One of my best friends used to tell me the best $300 he ever spent was either his vasectomy or his garage door opener, he never could decide. Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 How easy has it been to use? The cheapest one (which I have) is less automated. All of the Nitty Gritty machines clean just as well; it just that higher end models are more automated. If you're planning on cleaning a ton of records in record time, you'd probably want a higher end model. If you'll use it occasionally, the manual models work fine. I probably clean one to five records a week. Quote
Chalupa Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 How do the NG machines compare to the VPI record cleaners?? Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 I've never used a VPI, though a friend had one. I doubt there is a discernable difference, but then there are those who claim music sounds different depending on which color cables you use. I think the Nitty Gritty 1.0 is about $100 cheaper than the comparable VPI. Quote
