alocispepraluger102 Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) listening to my treasured reiner's brahms symphony number 4 from the reader's digest treasury of great music this morning, charles gerhardt came to mind. http://www.classicalcdreview.com/cgrebweb.html Edited November 25, 2007 by alocispepraluger102 Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Charles Gerhardt's Classic Film Scores series for RCA was a major accomplishment. He was ahead of the curve in terms of giving the great film composers the attention they deserve. The series is a textbook example of how to present film music on its own terms, away from the images. Gorgeous recordings, too. Quote

Gorgeous recordings, too. i have several of them, many with gorgeous arrangements by gerhardt. 3 coins in the fountain, among others, is to die for. Quote
