alocispepraluger102 Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 does anyone who doesnt make many cell calls (i make very few) use the prepaid (or pay as you go plans) where the minutes are good for a year? recommendations? it seems like this would save a fair amount of money for many of us(so we can buy more music). Christiern Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) I also make very few calls from the outside, but I find it very practical to have a cell phone if I am expecting an important call and need to go out. Therefore, T-Mobile's pay-as-you-go is perfect for me. Your rate and duration improve with time, the service is excellent, and the T-Mobile cards are available all over the place (at least in NYC). I highly recommend T-Mobile. BTW, do you know any Guadayninos in Mansfield? Edited November 27, 2007 by Christiern Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Yes, I have T-Mobile out here in the Seattle area. Got a great online deal on a Nokia phone. There's no way I'd sign a contract, ever. Pay as you go is the way to go as far as I'm concerned. Quote

Guest Bill Barton Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Talk about synchronicity... Christiern and I must have been typing messages at the same time. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 I use the poor man's friend, the TracFone (which I recently found out is owned by *ta-da* T-Mobile). The per-minute rate is awful, but since I rarely use it, I could care less. I'm just not a 'gab on the phone' person; I'm more of an "I'm on my way; bye" person. So it just makes sense to me. Although, I must admit, the idea of getting a phone that doubles as an MP3 player has started to appeal.... Quote

That's my attitude too - not into throwing my money at non-value-added Marketing/Sales idiots in suits. The cheapest 'pay as you go' is the way for me. Quote
