Durium Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 BOBBY PREVITE'S NEW BUMP Bobby Previte drums - Ellery Eskelin tenorsax - Bill Ware vibraphone - Brad Jones bass Bill Ware was a surprise for me. Since Bobby Hutcherson ( I heard him playing July 2002 at the North Sea Jazz Festival in his McCoy Tyner-Bobby Hutcherson Quartet) the vibraphone is no longer the instrument to use in the swing and bop tradition exclusively. He played a great lengthly intro during the concert before an audience as quiet as a mouse; the only annoying noise was the instruments rotor motor - a moment to remember. The music played by Bill Ware on his vibraharp was almost hypnotizing, waves of sounds, impressions like in a movie soundtrack. ...
