robviti
i've not had a lot of luck searching for information about this recording. by the album cover i know who the musicians are, and although this is a jazzline issue, it may have originally been released on the delta label. also, the recording date might be 7/12/89. any and all information would be appreciated. JohnS
I have this. I found it Amsterdam years ago and at the time was unknown to me. I've never heard of it or seen it again. The label reads Jazzline but the spine says Delta. Musically it's just what you would expect from Murray for this period. Line up is - Murray, Dave Burrell, Hugh Ragin, Wilber Morris, Bobby Battle and Paul Zauner, trombone on tracks 2, 4 & 7. Recorded Studio Cornet Cologne 12, 13, 14 July 1989. 1. With an 'E' Please 2. So Spiritual 3. Punalu Peter 4. Chazz 5. Hughe Blues 6. Ballad For The Blackman 7. Pain. Edited May 16, 2008 by JohnS
