brownie Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 The reissue is another splendid job from Fresh Sound. Th CD includes one additional track which makes its first appearance on disc. It's 'I Cried for You', a feature for Bobby Jaspar! Quote
bichos Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 that´s great news! thanks for the information: i´m looking for this album for years (to get a more complete collection of rené thomas). and hello brownie, good to see that you are back. keep boppin´ marcel Quote
Bluerein Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Brownie: is this the usual LP transfer or did they use some sort of master tape for this reissue. Good to see you posting again!! Hope all is well in Paris. Quote
brownie Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Reinier, no mastering credit on this Fresh Sound reissue. Since they managed to include an hitherto unreleased 'I Cried For You', I would tend to think they had access to some sort of original material. I am very much aware that Fresh Sound has used needledrops for some of their reissues. This 'United Notions' does not seem to belong to that category. The sound is excellent to my aging ears -_- Quote
B. Goren. Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 The sound is excellent to my aging ears -_- And the music is beautiful. Quote
