Dmitry Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Paranoia? Hardly... How else would I buy some of these oop gems, if not for the promos in used shops?! I don't mind if the cds themselves have the stickers, but why deface the covers? Anyway, what have you tried? Quote
wolff Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 I've used label remover found at office supply stores with great results. Quote
Johnny E Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Well, I never used it to remove promo labels, but I have used it to take many-a price tag off used LP jackets. Simple run a flame over a small portion of the stick (no too much - just a few passes by with the lighter) then slowly peel that section off. Do it again on another small section, repeat as necessary till sticker is removed. The heat temporarily melts the glue underneath the sticker and allows you about 15 seconds to peel without tearing the paper or leaving glue residue. Hope that helps. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Take the sticker off and clean any residue with WD-40. Try it, you'll like it! Quote
WD45 Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 This weekend I saw my first used BN Rare Grooves CD that was NOT a promo. They must have sent a ton of those out. Quote
