dsockel Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 I found a real nice first press 63rd street of Paul Chambers Bass on Top at the record store for $2!. Problem is that there was no cover. Anyone have a spare one they are open to selling or trading? Also picked up an original Jazzmen Detrot on Savoy with Burrell, Flanagan, Chambers and Kenny Clarke. Very cool cover. Quote

Very cool cover. You can try to find an "united artists" cover : not laminated, but colors are almost the same and the rest is 100 % identical. Or a "classic cover", but i've never seen it. So ican't tell you how near or far from the real deal it is. "jazzman detroit" is one of the finest hard bop session ever, imo. you are lucky to have this one. Quote
kh1958 Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 I would keep an eye out on ebay for a copy with a decent cover but trashed vinyl. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 I will also keep an eye out in the shops. Quote
