dje78 Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) I am searching for 2 elusive jazz short films. 1. Dave Brubeck Quartet - Stompin' For Mili - 1955 2. Ellis Larkins - Ellis Larkins - 1975 If anyone has any information about these, I would be very interested. I would be willing to pay a large sum of money for a copy. Christiern Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 Why should he? Please explain your seeming hostility towards this new poster who, IMHO, has made a perfectly normal request. Quote
dje78 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 what do you consider large? Do you have either of these? I have been searching for years for these short films. I have a large collection of jazz on film. Quote
RDK Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Wish I could help. Have you contacted Mark Cantor? His site is pretty much dead - http://www.jazz-on-film.com/ - but there may be an email link. Quote
Adam Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Mark is having surgery this week. I was trying to book a screening with him. Give him a week or two. I can give you his email & phone number off list. Quote

These are listed in both David Meeker's book and Scott Yanow's book covering jazz on film. I was hoping someone from this forum might know where to find a copy. Quote
