Joe G Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Nice! We've been around long enough for a retrospective. Quote
paul secor Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Hope you've got Billie's version of "Everything Happens to Me" on the agenda. One of my favorite Billies. Quote
Lazaro Vega Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) That's a good one, Paul, which we've featured in the past. This time landed on Chet Baker. Edited February 12, 2009 by Lazaro Vega Quote
Lazaro Vega Posted February 12, 2009 Author Report Posted February 12, 2009 Will include some of the music from the Carl Allen / Rodney Whitaker project with Joe Gloss on guitar in this evening's program, too. Quote
MartyJazz Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) Hope you've got Billie's version of "Everything Happens to Me" on the agenda. One of my favorite Billies. Instrumentally, nobody can touch Rollins' version in the ON IMPULSE (Impulse) session. What a sound he gets on his horn - a total masterpiece! Edited February 12, 2009 by MartyJazz Quote
Lazaro Vega Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 He also does "Will You Still Be Mine" by Matt Dennis on "The Freedom Suite." Quote
