eurocinema
I just came across two strange Grant Green tunes on this album: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015O6LJ...38&sr=102-3 "Blues in Green" is not at all like Miles' Blue in Green, rather a downtempo version of Green's Cantaloupe Woman. It sounds like a live recording and though the guitar tone is uncharacteristically distorted, some of Green's mannerisms are recognizable. "Cantaloupe Woman" is definitely not the Grant Green tune of that name and sounds like a loose jam and either catches Green experimenting or features a different guitar player alltogether. Can't seem to find any info on either track... anybody?

Can't seem to find any info on either track... anybody? I have this on one of those "Live" LPs with a KB track and something else. I seem to recall that only one tune was properly identified as being Green - at least that was the conclusion of sometimes-resident guitar expert Jim R. robviti
now that you mention it, a search of the session index of the grant green discography failed to turn up the song title "blues in green."
