Dave James Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 One of the hardest parts of starting this thread after I decided it was worth posting was in which forum to put it. I chose "Miscellaneous Music" but it could just have easily have been placed under two or three other headings. Anyhow, immediately below is a link to a very interesting, if somewhat lengthly, article from today's New York Times that chronicles the development of the soon-to-be-released Beatles video game. Some of the points the article makes have some relevance to the current thread about the future of jazz music in an abstract, connect-the-dots kind of way. I've never played Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but after reading this, I'm more tempted to do so than before. Get some people together, have a few road pops, grab your Hofner bass or your Rickenbacker guitar and away you go. Kinda sounds like fun. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/16/magazine...wanted=1&hp Up over and out. Quote

BruceH Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 One of my kids showed me a clip of this game from somewhere off the internet---it looked hilarious. But fun. Quote
