JSngry Posted August 30, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) Maybe I'm blind/deaf/whatever, but "Hold Me Tight" doesn't seem to me to sound as "old" as most of the other hits from 1968 (or thereabouts) do today. Seems like I can respond to the groove first, and the "nostalgia" (such as it is...the only real "memories" I have of this song are of how delightfully different it sounded than everything else on the radio & of Bake Turner & some other NY Jets copping it for a "That's The Score" commercial for Score hair cream...) second, if at all.
