BERIGAN Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 For the thousands of fans here, record Night at the Opera at 6 AM(EST) and after the film will be the 1929 short, The Opry House. The one they usually show, Nine O'Clock Folks, from 1931, has some cruel dog antics....don't know if they have run this one before. Anyone recall seeing this short????? Quote

The full (I think, even though it's a minute shorter than the running time on imdb) clip is also up on youtube, but it'll look and sound better on TCM, I'm sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvJ2YKh_oks Quote
AllenLowe Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) great clip - strangely, it looks like Stan Laurel on percussion - great playing by Jack Bland (banjo) - Edited October 1, 2009 by AllenLowe Quote
medjuck Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 The film before it isn't so bad either. Quote
Harold_Z Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Great stuff. THAT'S a kick drum. Check out Red, Eddie Condon, Jack Bland and I'm assuming Josh Billings. Quote
