White Lightning Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Israel's greatest leader ever, and one of the greatest leaders in the 20th century, died 30 years ago today. Today, we can only wish for leaders of his kind: Ones that are able to make difficult decisions in crucial times; Ones that can be leaders to their countries, not just politicians; Ones that has their country's future on their mind, not just the next election; Ones that will enjoy reading phoilosophy books and the Bible whenever there's a few minutes time; Ones that will live a humble life; And even ones that will be able to spend a few days in a Burmese tempel to "clear his mind"; Oh, I do miss Ben Gurion and his type ~sigh~ Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Great post, Barak. I don't know very much about Ben-Gurion and I'll have to read up on this great leader. Quote
Brad Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Barak couldn't have said it better. We are sorely in lack of visionaries today. Quote
