I have the Brandenburg Concertos in a 2 LP quadraphonic set. Wonder what they sound like on the proper equipment.

Quad never broke through in the vinyl days because there were 3 different systems - SQ, QS and discrete.

Wonder what marketing genius came up with the name Discrete for Quadrophonic sound? No soup for him!

It was meant to emphasize four discrete sound sources, unlike the other formats.

On the Rhino website, they have an application where you can actually click on any one of four corners in a virtual "room" and hear the music coming from that quadrant.
