David Ayers
OK I am sure this has been answered, and if I knew how to do complex searches I'd no doubt find it, BUT I don't. How do I search on a phrase or a series of terms - or can't I? I.e "Hampton Hawes" or Hampton AND Hawes AND Japanese AND releases. It seems the board software won't do anything like this. Or am I mistaken? Edited April 28, 2010 by David Ayers
Niko
+hampton +hawes +japanese +releases should do...
David Ayers
+hampton +hawes +japanese +releases should do... ohhhh... thanks! no searching on phrases then....?
Niko
+hampton +hawes +japanese +releases should do... ohhhh... thanks! no searching on phrases then....? "hampton hawes" should do... didn't try whether you can combine these to +"hampton hawes" +"japanese releases" but iirc that doesn't work... out of curiosity: why does a search for the word "available" yield no results? David Ayers
You're right - I thought it didn't but it just doesn't highlight the phrase. My world has changed forever.
A Lark Ascending
Another tip I was shown: Put in: +hampton +hawes +japanese +releases Now put in: +hampton +hawes +japanese +releases -CD It will exclude any links with CD in. Can be useful in narrowing down a search.
