I just picked this book up at the library and so far am quite fascinated. Some of the material is familiar, including Frank Kofsky's famous (or infamous, depending on your point-of-view) interview and assorted liner notes, but much of it is fresh to me. And the Kofsky is a new transcription from audiotape, so it has some "new" stuff also. Has anyone else read this yet? Any reactions?

excellent book; Lewis Porter tells me he was instrumental in getting it on track. Lots of little personal tidbits. Coltrane was not exactly a big talker, but put it all together and it's very interesting.

I'm the editor of Coltrane on Coltrane, and I'd be very interested in reading more reactions to/opinions of the book.
