Van Basten II Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Ordered a few boxsets in mid-december one of them was real cheap when I ordered it, never received them when I used the function track the package it was stuck in Staufenberg since december the 23rd. Communicated with them to know what was going on , got an answer apologizing for the lost items and offered me a refund, answered them back that I'd rather have a new shipping of the items I ordered. Instead I received an email, telling me they were in the process of refunding me. When I told thm that I did want the items, got answered that they couldn't because some of the items were unavailable. It was false. I gave them the info and told me the refund was already processed so they couldn't do anything. They suggested to make a new order, however the price of the boxset has since been raised. Now here's my question am I within my rights and legitimized to ask that they sell me the items at the price I originally bought them ? I asked them once and they refused, now should I pursue these demands or should I drop it ? Edited January 6, 2011 by Van Basten II Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I say go ahead and bitch. Worst case, you vent. Quote
Van Basten II Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 They finally relented, ordered the same items for a slightly higher price (they have fluctuated a lot at some point it was 20 Euros more than I was paying originally) and they are supposed to send me the difference. Amusing thing the representative who finally settle it is called Amelie P., wonder if she looks like the original one. Quote
king ubu Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I got a no-good box set from them a few months ago (Marvin Gaye "The Master", disc one was dead on one channel), sent it back (what a hassle!), got another one, same problem, so sent it back again... then wrote a mail to them, complaining, also mentioning that they were still listing the item... so one morning they called me on my cell phone, a lady from their customer service (no idea if her name was Amélie), apologizing and explaing and assuring me that they do very much care... bla bla bla. I ended up ordering another version from german Amazon (the Edel earbooks edition, which is much nicer anyway - same music, same liners, but LP-sized coffee-table book with lots of photos). Anyway, they did tell me that, would the price raise in the meantime, they would offer me the box for the price I initially ordered it for - so I guess you could have asked for that. More annoying was another order (with my x-mas gift in it) that bumped back - guess that wasn't their mistake, but the reason given was that my address didn't exist... as if they hadn't delivered 200 packages in the past years... in that case, too, my girlfriend (who had ordered that package) had no way to tell them to send it again, she got a refund immediately. The positive side there was that the price went down almost 10€ in the meantime, so her newly placed order was quite a bit cheaper! Quote
Van Basten II Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 King Ubu I know that yesterday when I tried to make an order, they had some kind of problem and their system was not recognizing the adresses telling we never asked before to send package to the adress and we had to give them again all our details (Credit card), etc., probably a computer glitch. Did not have the problem when I registered my order sooner today Quote
