Sorry to hear this, although 94 ain't bad. I enjoy his music - it's austere on the surface, but it just "works."

Yeah...there's something about the way it sounds that just makes sense. Like Bach, a solidly constructed building.

strangest thing that ever happened to me, about 20 years ago I had to call the office of the Princeton department of music - well, Milton Babbit picked up the phone. I was a bit flustered.

nice man.I think he even took a message for someone.
