Not sure if this is old news or not plus the Craigslist ad has been taken down, but on a blog that I frequent I read about the master tapes for Black Jazz Records being up for sale:

very sad to say that i'm not surprised. was never at all impressed with the folks that took the label over. they never did right by it. (and what a pathetic ad!! somebody who had some sense needed to proof it!!)

Not sure the economics of the "industry" work in their favor at the present time.

Looks like they just have the Calvin Keys LP, not the entire catalog - pretty much doin' the same thing that Scorpio Music here in NJ is doing - licensing one or a few...

Yes, the interview is ambiguous. He doesn't confirm he purchased the catalogue. Yet also doesn't confirm he is just licensing the Calvin Keys Lp.
