Have just found the short dance film made by Fred Baker in the summer of '62 - "On The Sound"

The soundtrack was produced by Gigi Gryce & his Orch-tette & the three dancers came from the Martha Graham Troupe

It won a few awards at film festivals

Hard to imagine it was made almost 50 years ago

I'm writing a short piece for my blog. Sadly, Baker died a few months ago.

The soundtrack was mentioned in Noal Cohen and Michael Fitzgerald's 'Rat Race Blues'.

Personnel comes from Baker, segment titles from copyright deposit Eu 633104 (Library of Congress). These segments were edited for incorporation into the film. The entire recording session was not preserved.
