Hardbopjazz Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 A firend of mine who is from Cologne, Germany, emailed me today. He was at a concert yesterday with Lee Konitz in the audience. Lee has in the past gotten over a stroke and over pneumonia in his 80s, but time does catch up to us all. I hope he can pull another comeback out of his hat. "...by the way: yesterday we had a concert with the ndr big band in the wdr concerthall. in the audience was lee konitz (with this wife, a cologne woman). he was not in good shape. he had a plaster on his nose..."
