One of my favorite contemporary fiction writers. I think I've read about 3/4 of his books.

Only ever read Morality Play which i thought was a tremendously believable historical recreation, packed with atmosphere. sacred hunger has been on the 'to read' list for too long

Stay away from the dreadful film adaptation, "The Reckoning." Another dud of a film was Merchant-Ivory's version of Pascali's Island.
