The Ed Burke Collection – named for its shepherd and founder – contains approximately 1,400 reel-to-reel tapes containing hundreds of hours of live radio programs featuring virtually every musician of major importance during the Big Band Era. bichos Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 yes, not really new: it was more than a year ago that this happened! more importand is (i think) the ed burke archive with over 7.000 hours of live recordings. most of it airchecks from the big band era with unique recordings! some of it was released on the "jazz hour" label. i love the harry james live recordings from 1948 for example. keep boppin´ marcel Quote
