JSngry
Is this any way to market jazz?

JSngry
Would fewer people like doors if they thought they were jazz?
Free For All
Maybe it was a cellar door.

Spontooneous
I can't believe that this has been up for 24 hours and there isn't yet a corresponding Famous Jazz Musicians That Sound Like Inanimate Objects thread. Y'all are slippin'. Honestly, do I have to do all the work around here?
RDK
I can't believe that this has been up for 24 hours and there isn't yet a corresponding Famous Jazz Musicians That Sound Like Inanimate Objects thread. Y'all are slippin'. Honestly, do I have to do all the work around here? Well my wife thinks that a lot of the jazz I listen to sounds like the screams of a dying cat... but a cat's not (at least quite yet) inanimate. JSngry
I can't believe nobody's remembered this famous Miles quote... http://books.google.com/books?id=DdPSBcuKzdsC&pg=PA125&lpg=PA125&dq=If+a+door+squeaked+we+could+call+out+the+exact+pitch.&source=bl&ots=IbJZ0zwV3V&sig=NZYNLeRVWlXnM_AX1LF88td65m0&sa=X&ei=k_cvUM6kIpDdqwHi_4GgAg&ved=0CA0Q6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=If%20a%20door%20squeaked%20we%20could%20call%20out%20the%20exact%20pitch.&f=false
TedR
I never realized that one of Miles' influences could have been squeaky doors. (RDK, your link was a real hit at last night's party!)
robertoart
Having heard that, I believe there must be a Billy Bang door out there. I will remain vigilant.
