colinmce Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Sad news: Jason Crane over at http://www.thejazzsession.com has decided to end his interview series next month after 400+ installments. I'm rather heartbroken over this. What Jason has done with this show is an absolute inspiration and is an incalculable contribution to jazz and creative music. The archive he has amassed provides a platform for the creators of this music we love so much to describe their work at length and in their own words, which is all too rare. It sounds like the show was a struggle to produce and maintain and I applaud him for making it five years under those circumstances. If you know the show, perhaps you might drop Jason a line at jason@thejazzsession.com to thank him for what he's done. If you're not familiar, check out the site: I've spent probably a hundred hours there and will spend a hundred more. It's very enriching and I hope Jason finds a way to continue on in some capacity. mjazzg Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Shame. Appreciated his efforts. It's individual commitment like that that helps support this music Quote
