I love how so many of the late sixties/early seventies organ groovers featured then-current pop and soul tunes.  These slow and sexy workouts morphing into head-bobbing burners are emblematic of why I love the genre.

Yeah, Earland, JH Smith, Lonnie Smith, Reuben Wilson, etc.  I play Earland's "Happy Cause I'm Going Home" in heavy rotation to cheer myself up.
