I'm here listening to his mindmelting take on What's Going On, on his late Prestige album of the same name. I say it belongs on a podium next to Earland's More Today Than Yesterday. I love how so many of the late sixties/early seventies organ groovers featured then-current pop and soul tunes. Yeah, Earland, JH Smith, Lonnie Smith, Reuben Wilson, etc. I play Earland's "Happy Cause I'm Going Home" in heavy rotation to cheer myself up. Quote
