Newport Jazz Festival 2013

Since it's only two weeks away and there's been no discussion of the Newport Jazz Festival, I assume this year's artists hold little interest for people around here. Still, there will be an installment of the Wayne Shorter 80th birthday tour featuring Herbie Hancock, along with perennial (superficial) favorites like Chick Corea, Hiromi, and Marcus Miller. Anyway, here's the two-day lineup at Newport's Fort Adams State Park:

I happen to have great interest in the Newport line-up but it just isn't fitting in with my schedule. ironically, i'll be in Boston on Aug. 7th, just a short while after the Festival. luckily, most of my favorites performing there i'll see elsewhere within the next month or two.
