Royal Oak Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Couple of pics from the hospital where I worked 1995-1997. And another, where I used to park my car. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) This one is close to where I live. Kings Park psychiatric center. Patience being cared for here were mistreated, and some died. There are reports that it is extremely haunted today. Edited July 29, 2013 by Hardbopjazz Quote
Royal Oak Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 In my experience, all hospitals are "haunted"! I worked nights for 2 years, never saw anything remotely supernatural. I recall seeing a mouse run across the day room floor one night, and drunks walking past the windows on weekend nights........ Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 One of the greatest places I've ever been is Kolmanskop, on the edge of the coastal desert, in Namibia; a turn of the century diamond town that was abandoned in the fifties. It's now being restored for the tourists, but the atmosphere in those sand-filled buildings was incredible. MG Quote
Shawn Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 One of the coolest abandoned hospitals is Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts. It was brilliantly used as a location for the psychological thriller "Session 9", it had such an atmosphere it is essentially the main character in the film. http://www.newenglandfilm.com/news/archives/00november/brad.htm Quote
