About a year ago, I inherited my uncle's complete collection of Downbeats, starting with the April 8th, 1965 issue (all the way up through 1987) -- so 20+ years worth, complete.

I'd LOVE to supplement my collection by obtaining the complete years of 1963 and 1964, and also the first three (3) months of 1965 (which would complete that year for me).

Any advice for how to track down a couple full years worth of DB's? - like I need - short of looking on eBay for what I imagine might take quite a long time?

All my very earliest favorite Blue Note titles came out in 1963 and 1964 -- so while it might be a challenge to find 2.25 years worth -- I figure that's a lot less impossible than going all the way back to 1957, for instance.

Anyone here have any to offer? - or any leads?

(Or should I try to buy them all, one by one --which would be almost 60 specific issues.)

Am also curious what others here think might be a "reasonable price" for such a purchase? What's the "going rate" these days? - particularly for complete years of DB from the 60's?

Thanks Chuck, appreciate the offer. Truth be told, I'd really love to read all the reviews from those two years - and probably half the articles too, for that matter.

Anything/everything about the usual suspects you know I obsess over -- but really almost anything from those years that I (admittedly) fetishize.

Which is to say I'm not sure I have as much one specific interest -- as I do MANY general interests from that specific period.

But thanks! - I do appreciate the offer.
