Hardbopjazz Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Tonight there will be a jazz concert performed by the JALC orchestra at the Woodlawn Cemetery, to celebrate the 150 anniversary of the cemetery. The concert will be held within a short distance of where Duke Ellington is at rest. We once had a discussion this. I couldn’t locate that old thread. Anyway, those that I am aware of resting here are Duke, Pops, Miles, Jack McClean, Cootie Williams, Max Roach. Who else is resting here from the world of Jazz. http://www.amny.com/news/buried-in-new-york-resting-places-of-the-famous-1.8305324 Quote
