Amongst a large batch of re-issues due out in Japan in November I noticed this one:

Anyone know anything about it?

Haven't heard it, but it's very expensive in its original form. The program is a mixture of Wisner's original compositions (sung by Ms. Mendoza) and standards. He went on to be a fairly well-regarded (or at least employed) pop arranger, from what I can tell.

I haven't found any link but it would be kind of cool if she was related to the avant guitarist Ava Mendoza. Eager to hear Ava live.

Ava is rad. I have seen her a few times and it's always been awesome. I'd always run into her at the Key Foods near my apartment because she lived 'round the corner for a while.
