sonnymax Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Would someone please tell me when this track was recorded (supposedly 1961 in LA for Pacific Jazz) and where it first appeared? It's included on the CD reissue of After Hours, but wasn't on the original LP. While this particular reissue also features tracks from Tell It Like It Is, it omits one title from the After Hours LP, namely Groove Bird. Thanks in advance. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 'Moose the Mooche' was titled 'Groove Bird' on the original LP issue. MG Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Your query made me wonder who got the composing credit on the original LP but it seems I gave it to a neighbour when I got the CD. So I don't know. No doubt someone has this on vinyl. MG Quote
sonnymax Posted October 10, 2014 Author Report Posted October 10, 2014 Damn, you are magnificent! Got to kick myself for not recognizing the connection between the two titles. Thanks again. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Someone find an original LP, so we can work out who screwed Mrs Parker for the royalties and maybe why. MG Quote
