Computer gurus: Spotify problem

I have two problems now with Spotify.

1) It automatically boots when I boot up my computer.

2) I can no longer shut it off by right-clicking on the icon.

Anybody know how to solve these issues?

I haven't used the stand-alone app for a while. I'm currently running it trough Chrome and don't have those issues.

If I remember correctly, you can disable the auto-startup through Preferences, and can close it by going to File/Close (or maybe it's "Exit")

BF, you've just beaten me to it! I see now that by clicking on the FILE drop down window, I can eliminate it.

Now I'll go to Preferences and see what I can do. Thanks!

PS - OK, at Preferences I clicked on "Don't open automatically." We'll see if that works.

Whenever you update the Spotify software it reactivates the open automatically feature. FYI.

Shawn, I'm not sure if I updated it voluntarily. I think it did it itself.
