GA Russell Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 I have two problems now with Spotify. 1) It automatically boots when I boot up my computer. 2) I can no longer shut it off by right-clicking on the icon. Anybody know how to solve these issues? Thanks! Quote
BFrank Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I haven't used the stand-alone app for a while. I'm currently running it trough Chrome and don't have those issues. If I remember correctly, you can disable the auto-startup through Preferences, and can close it by going to File/Close (or maybe it's "Exit") Quote
GA Russell Posted October 15, 2014 Author Report Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) BF, you've just beaten me to it! I see now that by clicking on the FILE drop down window, I can eliminate it. Now I'll go to Preferences and see what I can do. Thanks! PS - OK, at Preferences I clicked on "Don't open automatically." We'll see if that works. Edited October 15, 2014 by GA Russell Quote
Shawn Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Whenever you update the Spotify software it reactivates the open automatically feature. FYI. Quote
BFrank Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Good luck, GA. I think you're good to GO! Quote
GA Russell Posted October 15, 2014 Author Report Posted October 15, 2014 Thanks! Shawn, I'm not sure if I updated it voluntarily. I think it did it itself. Quote
