She was a prolific songwriter. Not many writers can be said to have had songs recorded by Ruth Brown, Elvis, Patti Page, Little Wiilie John, The Crew Cuts, Joe Williams, Aretha, Eddie Arnold, Nat King Cole, and Albert Ayler - to name a few,

She's who wrote "I Think It's Gonna Work Out Fine", eh? That's one of those songs that it seems fits well with damn near any "style" of American music, maybe past that, can't comment there. There's a built-in swing to it, even people who don't know wast swing is can jsut play it as written and it'll sound like they have at least half a clue. Just a wonderful thing, taht song is.
