colinmce Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I noticed on the Klompfoot website the shipping rate is $12 for 1-9 CDs. Meaning that if I were to buy a single CD I would be charged $12 shipping. Anyone know if this is actually the case? Is he serious? Quote
Leeway Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Yes, that is the case. Unless they have a special sale and waive the requirement. Essentially, Cadence is still a wholesale operation; they supply a lot of other outlets (well, those that still exist). They have importation arrangements with a lot of labels and function as the distributor. Not easy ordering from Cadence, CIMP or Klompfoot (where one ends and the other begins is still a bit of a mystery to me). Quote
colinmce Posted February 2, 2015 Author Report Posted February 2, 2015 Huh. Still basically the cheapest source for the Cecil Taylor Cadence CDs so I guess I'll probably end up getting them from there. Quote
Leeway Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I think they are selling some CIMP titles directly through Amazon as a reseller, usually at $15.98 a title, and usual Amazon shipping charges prevail. But the Klompfoot operation is wholesale. Get on their mailing list; they have sales from time to time. Quote
colinmce Posted February 2, 2015 Author Report Posted February 2, 2015 Thanks for the Amazon tip, Leeway, I found them there, indeed from Cadence. They were just very, very buried and took several searches even within his items to turn both volumes up. Quote
