Smalls new revenue sharing policy.

Smalls has changed their membership. Now to access any of the archived audio files you need to join at a monthly fee. This fee will go to the artists as well as Smalls. Anyone here join yet? I haven't. In the past I never really listened to any of the shows. Now that the artists will be paid, I am thinking of joining.

What do you think of the revenue sharing?

I signed up for the free shows but not the subscription yet. Haven't been too impressed but it's new so I'll give it time. Both time I went to watch my stream was non-existent.

I am considering it but haven't yet done so. So many unheard CDs and LPs, where would I find the time to listen to a vast online archive.

As a Smalls performer I'm curious how much I'd 'earn' from revenue sharing since I'm not one of the most visited artists.

I'll be leading a sextet at Smalls this Friday and Saturday.  It will be interesting to see if this revenue sharing business is for real or if it's like spotify, where I receive $0.0006 per download. That's 6% of one penny.
