First is a lovely piece rather like Britten's 'Spring Symphony' with added John Adams; London Symphony from the RVW. Never noticed the similarity between the Largo and the corresponding movement in the Dvorak New World before.

Value her Schubert recordings highly - as Elisabeth Leonskaja lives in Vienna/Austria for a long time, I did/do encounter her live performanes recurringly and it is interesting to witness how her "Russian School" slightly percussive style was infiltrated over the time by emotional aspects - IMO a perfect basis for Schubert ....
