Д.Д. Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 Very interesting re-interpretations of Debussy piano works by for piano / percussion duet by Alexei Lubimov and Vladimir Tarasov. The first CD is Debussy played straight (very well) by Lubimov, and the second one is piano / percussion duets. It does not always work, but interesting nonetheless. Quote

Yes, it is a true reference recording and an absolute must-have for the fifth and seventh. No doubt about it. Harnoncourt certainly has the fire but his recordings lack emotional involvement/depth and the sound of the Chamber Orchestra doesn't work that well ether. Maybe the fifth works best for me here. With regard to Harnoncourt, I'm not overly convinced too .... Quote
Referentzhunter Posted December 6, 2024 Report Posted December 6, 2024 A first listen and i am curious because there are classical lovers marked this as a reference recording. Found the disc some time ago for a euro and managed to save it for this moment. NP , this totally rocks ! Quote
