Franz Schubert – 4 Impromptus, D899, 4 Impromptus, D935
— Elisabeth Leonskaja (piano) (Teldec Classics / Warner Music)

Value her Schubert recordings highly - as Elisabeth Leonskaja lives in Vienna/Austria for a long time, I did/do encounter her live performanes recurringly and it is interesting to witness how her "Russian School" slightly percussive style was infiltrated over the time by emotional aspects - IMO a perfect basis for Schubert ....

Still with Schubert .... and a personally beloved aberration of the "Russian Piano School" .... :

Me too:
Franz Schubert – Sonata for Piano in A major D.664 Op.120, Fantasy for Piano in C major D.760 Op.15 "Wanderer"
— Sviatoslav Richter (piano) (EMI Classics)

After hearing Leonskaja  playing Schubert, had an urge to hear Richter doing the same.

Great to have these two near by to compare - (IMO) both having distinct valid views on Schubert .... as do have others like Arrau, Betz, Afanassiev, Goode, Lupu, ....
