I am a big fan of Kempff. His box sets of Beethoven sonatas and Schubert sonatas are among my favorites.

The German composers are where he is at his best.

He was just a priest in a small town, nothing much is known about his life and musical activities, but had two volumes of his compositions printed, the first of which is nowhere to be found. Listening to this one. Very nice. And this organ has such a focused sound.
