Horenstein's recording of the 3rd symphony (1970) sent me on a Simpson jag. I now have 19 cds and 4 lps including a 10" HMV with Boult conducting the 1st symphony

I'm only just beginning to explore Simpson's music.  But I've enjoyed everything I've heard so far.

I did notice that Horenstein's recording of the 3rd has been reissued on NMC.  Might have to look into that.

Me too, after the Horenstein. I now have many Simpson CDs but less than your 19 I'm sure. I also have his terrific book on Bruckner.
